Monk Fruit, or Luo Han Guo is a herbaceous perennial vine of the gourd family, that is native to southern China and northern Thailand. It has a caramel like sweetness which we use in the smallest percentage to round out the flavor profile of our formulation, and it also has some promising health benefits. There is no sugar in our pure monk fruit extract, so it does not affect blood sugar levels, and it contains zero calories or carbohydrates. Monk fruit also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in addition to being antihyperglycemic.
