PLANET EARTH

Acknowledgement to Country

We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land and water, which is Lenapehoking, the Lenape homeland and it’s people.

There is great sense of reciprocity, reverence and ritual that guides and informs the foundation of Indigenous knowledge and practices, particularly as related to food, medicine and relationship to land. In some Native languages the term for plants translates to ‘those who take care of us.’ We use this intuitive wisdom and ancient knowledge to enrich a scientific and therapeutic based approach to wellbeing and beauty.

USDA ORGANIC

Organic, superior grade, therapeutic ingredients.

All of our ingredients are proudly third party certified organic so that you can be sure the integrity and grade of our products are unparalleled, delivering the benefits to you.

Why organic? When consuming roots, herbs and mushrooms which reside in and process the soil, it’s even more important to be mindful of where they come from and how the crops are cared for. Organic crops are grown with fewer pesticides, no artificial fertilisers, higher animal welfare standards, no routine use of antibiotics, no genetic modification, and no artificial preservatives or colors. These crops are cared for in a way that is better for people, animals, the integrity of soil and ecosystems.

It’s a holistic, rigorous and independent certification awarded to businesses that have an explicit social or environmental mission.

1% FOR THE PLANET

Reciprocity

Direct action supports the most immediate change for our planet: for every product you purchase, a tree is planted. We partner with @onetreeplanted , a non-profit environmental charity with a focus on global reforestation working in North America, South America, Asia and Africa. Planting trees remains one of the best ways to reduce global carbon emissions. The average mature tree is capable of sequestering 48lbs of carbon each year. As global deforestation continues, these reforestation projects are planting trees that will clean the air we breathe for years to come, and protecting habitats for biodiversity.

FSC STANDARDS

Meticulous & elevated design that doesn’t cost the earth

Our glass jars are violet miron jars, which are both recyclable and maintain the integrity & freshness of the contents inside. All of our packaging is recyclable and is printed on uncoated FSC Certified paper stock.

FSC is considered the most rigorous, credible forest certification system available, promoting environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world’s forest. Its chain-of-custody (COC) certification process traces the path of products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC-certified material is identified or separated from non-certified material throughout.

Our paper suppliers, Neenah, produce their FSC Certified paper with 100% renewable green electricity and we work with small scale local printers in New York to reduce our carbon footprint.
